Fat and stately, the Kereru, New Zealand’s native wood pigeon, wears a smart white vest over iridescent feathers. Once hunted by Maori for food, Kereru are now protected – they can be seen gorging themselves in trees, often eating so much they’re too heavy to fly.
This Kereru (Woodpigeon) steel art is just slightly larger than real life, at 310mm high, and can be displayed in full.
Made from 3mm Corten steel, its designed to beautifully rust and change with the seasons.
